Cleanse

When I create a product I always start with the end in mind. I wanted to create a multi-purpose face cleanser that met the skincare needs of the common population. Meaning, something that works for most everyone to cleanse their face.

What should an excellent cleanser do?

1. Gently exfoliate

2. Brighten

3. Shrink pores (by cleansing them properly)

From there, I began to take a deeper dive into each of these three categories to source the best ingredients that would accomplish each individual goal.After I created my list of ingredients I experimented with creating the perfect ratio to get the texture, results, and consistency I wanted in a cleanser.

Application Suggestions:

1. Begin by washing any make up off with water. If your make up requires additional soap to remove I suggest a goats milk bar soap from Bend Soap Company. These are inexpensive and effective for removing make up. This will allow you to maximize the benefits of the cleanser directly on your skin.

2. Dip a small amount of cleanser from the jar using the spoon. It is important to not dip wet hands directly in the jar. Lather the cleanser between your hands and gently work into your face.

3. You can let the cleanser sit on your face for up to 10 minutes or you can wash it off directly.

4. Wash the cleanser gently with a wash cloth and hot water.

5. While your face is still damp from cleansing I suggest directly applying the Vitamin C + Tallow cream on for hydration.

6. You can start using the cleanser at night time. If you feel you need additional cleansing in the morning you can also apply it in the morning. Personally, I usually cleanse and moisturize at night and only spritz with a hydrsol and then apply a cream in the morning.

Ingredient List

• Jojoba Oil - treats dry skin, aids in wound healing, protects from free radicals, may help scarring, treats acne, discourages wrinkles, and treats chronic skin diseases

• Helios Farm Tallow - moisturizes at the cellular level, contains vitamins A, D, K, and antioxidants, anti aging, promotes youthful skin, aids skin brightening, aids dry/itchy skin irritants

• Shea butter surfactant - stable, mild, ultra rich, conditioning and hydrating cleanser

• Distilled water - this was used in combination with the dead sea salt to make dead sea salt ocean water

• Organic calendula hydrosol - As a facial toner, this flower helps stimulate the growth of collagen that our body naturally produces and loses over time. As our skin loses collagen, the appearance of wrinkles and lines is more profound. Calendula is also anti-bacterial and assistants with topical pain management of minor skin abrasions and small cuts.

• Organic and local raw honey - Honey is a naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention. It’s full of antioxidants and great for slowing down aging. Honey is what’s called a natural humectant, which means it helps to draw moisture into the skin creating a natural glow.

• Dead sea salt

• Pumice stone - fine ground natural Pumice gently exfoliates

• Cetearyl Alcohol & Cetearyl Glucoside - natural emulsifier derived from palm oil

• Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) - the secret ingredient of all my products. Our face craves a topical application of vitamin C. It brightens, cleanses, and promotes collagen to keep your face youthful and exuberant

• Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) - Applied topically, Niacinamide easily penetrates the stratum corneum (outer layer of the skin). It is well proven to provide significant benefits to the skin, including enhancing barrier function, reducing the visible signs of skin aging, protecting against UV damage, and relieving inflammatory skin conditions.

• Vanilla absolute

FAQ: How long will it last? If kept well, this should last you around 6 months. You only need a small amount each day.
